The windward sides of most of the Islands, on the east and north shores, are greener and more tropical creating beautiful gardens full of rare and unique flora. Formerly a world leader of pineapple and sugar production, Hawaii also has a unique plantation heritage that is responsible for the diversity of the Islands’ people today.
