This day-long event reveals just a part of East Hawaii's thriving agricultural business. Join with others interested in Hawaii Island's thriving agriculture business--talk with the farmers and distributors directly!
Visit Green Point Nurseries, the island’s largest anthurium farm and see fields of colorful anthriums. Next stop is KTA Superstores, a Hawaii Island-based, family-owned grocery chain that has focused on helping get local products to market--you'll see an amazing array of local Hawaii Island products. Next up, the Native Hawaiian "Canoe" Garden at Imiloa Astronomy Center. This is the largest collection of native Hawaiian plants in the state of Hawaii. Finally, we stop at Troy Keolanui's OK Farms, one of Hilo's top ag-producers. OK Farms grows coffee, macadamia nuts, lychee, lemons, bananas, and pineapple.
