HULIHEE PALACEKONA COAST, HAWAII'S BIG ISLANDTravel back to the days of the Hawaiian monarchy at Hulihee Palace, located on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona. Once a summer vacation home for Hawaiian royalty, today Hulihee Palace is a museum showcasing Victorian artifacts from the time of King Kalakaua in the late 1800’s. The Palace features beautiful koa wood furniture from the past and the grounds feature a Hawaiian fishpond. Mokuaikaua Church, Hawaii’s earliest Christian Church built in 1820, is also located right across the street. An earthquake in 2006 has damaged Hulihee Palace and a restoration is in progress. Currently public tours of the Palace are limited. > Learn more about the Kona Coast
