Description: A free family event featuring hands-on learning activities and quick tours of the museum. Join members of the Hawai‘i Watercolor Society as they demonstrate how to create a colorful coral reef using watercolor paints. Participants can also learn about the art of Oshibana, and make a card using dried flowers. Scheduled Jan. 10, art galleries open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with art activities scheduled from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Downtown @ the HiSAM and Shop @ the HiSAM the restaurant and gift shop located on the first floor of the museum, will be also be open. Hawai‘i State Art Museum, 250 S. Hotel St. Admission is free. For more information, call 586-0307.
