Master Carvers from across the Pacific come together with Hawaii's carvers to create real canoes & tikis from wood logs, daily 9am-5pm on Front Street in Lahaina. Demos of old-style surfboard, drum and thatched house making are also featured with cultural arts lessons, performances & Polynesian crafts fair at public locations in Lahaina. Over the closing weekend, watch Parade of Canoes down Front St. then head to Kamehameha Iki beach park for ancient Hawaiian ceremony & sunset launch of completed canoes, followed by island food, music and dance festival until 10pm.
