Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with a Fine Art Festival and Fundraiser for Nana’s House featuring the Women Artists of Kauai. Highlights of the festival include live Hawaiian style music by Kenny Kealoulu Keliihoomalu, painting demonstrations, one-of-a-kind pieces of art, reproductions, gift items, and ornaments. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Nana’s House which is a family support center provided by Child and Family Service, serving West Kauai. |

OPENING CEREMONY, 13TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS | Kauai | Events

Enjoy 40 years of Christmas folk art by Auntie Josie Chansky including a Christmas tree made from 7,500 green toothpicks and wreaths decorated with egg cartons. More recent additions from the community include a variety of Kauai-style touches including themed trees: SPAM, Hula Bear, Kilauea Lighthouse, Peacock and Paniolo. The Opening Ceremony will take place 6:00-6:30 p.m. on December 4, 2009, and will include the Kauai Chorale, Lighting Countdown of the Historic County Building Park, and Santa & Mrs. Claus. The Lights on Rice Parade follows at 6:30 p.m. |
