The Lanai Pineapple Festival is an annual event scheduled around the 4th of July week-end. This year we will be having the Festival on July 2, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Dole Park.

The event is a great opportunity for showcasing Lanai as a culturally diverse, historically rich and welcoming island. The event has become one of the highlights for the island and its visitors.

We began the Festival in 1976 as part of a Bi-Centennial celebration. It later became a two day event known as the “Pineapple Jam.” The island was known to be the largest pineapple plantation in the world, therefore, the event was intended to celebrate the pineapple history of the island and its people.

We have our event in the park, so that the entire island can enjoy the free entertainment, exhibits, activities for children, and many food booths.
