What might appear to be open pasture below the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele is actually a golf course that doesn't take cash, credit cards, or even tee times. Cavendish Golf Course was originally built as a nine-hole, par 36 courses in 1947 for sugar plantation workers on the island. Today, it's a free golfing opportunity for anyone who loves the game. The course features long, straight fairways amid tall Norfolk pines.
