Description

On the sunny west side of Kauai near Waimea Canyon, which Mark Twain called the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," our cottage is eighty feet from the sea and across the street from Davidson's Point, a popular surf break. 100 feet east beachcomb two miles of dark sand beach to Kikiaola small boat harbor. 200 yards west lie seventeen miles of white sand beach mostly lined by sugar cane. In 1778 Captain Cook first landed in Hawaii at the mouth of the Waimea River, three miles away. There find the ruins of an old Russian fort. Up the volcano is Kokee Rain Forest, with a natural history museum and forty miles of hiking trails.
Cozy for a Honeymoon couple, a pocket door which can be pulled out of the wall to make a second bedroom lets you sleep up to six. Raised on ten-foot pilings above the bananas, papayas, and mangos for a great ocean view and cool trade breezes, the beach house has a full kitchen. We stock everything for a complete breakfast and you just help yourself.
