Description
The Annual Maui Open Studios Event will inspire you. It is held over all 4 weekends of February every year and is comprised of a festive Opening Celebration and Preview Exhibition followed by 3 weekends of self-guided tours of artist studios and exhibit spaces. Over 100 artists working in a diverse range of mediums participate every year. The entire event is free to the public.
Saturday, Feb 2, 2013 is the Opening Celebration/Preview Exhibition to be held at the Maui Tropical Plantation from 6 - 9pm. Preview art, meet the artists and pick up a MOS Guidebook. Enjoy live music, no-host pupus and cash bar. Artists open their studios/exhibits to the public from 11am - 6pm over the 3 following weekends in February. Each weekend is dedicated to different regions of the island.
Design your own tours and visit studios at your own pace. Some artists will give demos. Learn about the artists' inspirations and creative processes and purchase art. Experience more than just the art! Be inspired!
