The Lahaina Arts Society (LAS) is dedicated to showcase, support, teach and mentor Maui County artists. LAS operates two galleries in the Old Lahaina Courthouse building and sponsors several outdoor Fine Art Fairs under the historic Banyan Tree in Lahaina each month. The Society supports local artists launching and expanding their careers around Maui
LAS has been at the center of Lahaina and its art scene since November 14, 1967. It is now the oldest art gallery in one of the largest art markets in the USA. Since 1969, the Society has been located in the Old Lahaina Courthouse, a historic building in the center of Lahaina, down by the harbor. The building was constructed to form the seat of government for Maui, Hawaii, in 1859.
The Lahaina Arts Society Galleries are open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
