Aloha Food Tours

Honolulu's #1 walking food tour. Learn about the history and culture of Hawaii while indulging in cuisine not easily found in other parts of the world. We provide two food tours to help you explore the cuisine in these hidden neighborhoods of Honolulu.

Our tours only visit locally owned eateries, no chain restaurants on our tours! Our public tours are limited to 12 people for a small group experience, not like those huge buses! We are proud to be a "green" tour, good for the environment!

Our first tour is our Ala Moana Area "Local Eats" Tour. During this tour you will explore hidden gems and hole-in-the-wall eateries that will introduce you to many dishes which demonstrate how many of the Asian immigrants got together and formed fusion dishes that identify Hawaii as an excellent destination for the foodie who likes to try dishes not easily found elsewhere in the world. You'll try a generous sampling of both sweet and savory dishes as you learn more about the culture of Hawaii that can be experienced through it's cuisine.

Some of the dishes you may try on this tour include (menu subject to change):
-Ube pancake
-Taro Latte
-Hawaiian BBQ Baby Back Ribs
-Garlic Shrimp
-Loco Moco
-Japanese style Steak Roll with Ponzu Sauce
-Spam Musubi
-Shave Ice with Ice Cream

This tour takes you to 5-6 different eateries in the Ala Moana area (about a 5 minute walk from Ala Moana shopping center). Your experienced guide will also make suggestions for restaurants and/or bars based on your preferences. Many of our previous guests have mentioned that they would have never ventured into these establishments by themselves!

Our 2nd tour is our Best of Chinatown Tour. Chinatown may be knows for being a little run down, but has recently had a revitalization bill passed which caused more hip bars and trendy new eateries to recently open up in the area.
