Anna Leialoha Lindsey Perry-Fiske has been called the "First Lady of Ranching" in Hawaii. Anna competed in horse races, branded cattle, and brought the beef to market, living the life of a rancher and paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy). Her ranch, titled Anna Ranch, is still active today and is located on the island of Hawaii, at the base of the Kohala Mountains. She was a unique woman in the male dominated profession of cattle ranching. Her legacy and that of her family is being perpetuated, as set out in her trust, with the formation of the Anna Ranch Heritage Center in Waimea, listed on both the state and national historic registry. Birthdays, Family Gatherings, Corporate Retreats and Community Events are popular uses of Anna Ranch’s picturesque event facility. It is a noted location for weddings and receptions. Complete with kitchen and wireless internet (Wi-Fi) throughout. Open Tue-Fri from 10am-3pm. Guided tours available. For reservations, call 808.885.4426
