Located near the King Kamehameha Golf Club course, but at a slightly lower elevation, this Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright design is very similar to its Maui neighbor in both layout and character.

The prevailing trade winds are the dominate characteristic, although the hillside routing affords golfers commanding ocean views both to the north of Kahului Harbor and to the south of Maalaea Bay. Across the central valley floor is 10,000-foot Haleakala, which dominates the Maui skyline. The course first opened in 1991 and was known at the time as the Grand Waikapu Country Club.
