Pukalani Country Club
Maui
Description
A delightful 'local style' golf experience can be enjoyed at this beautifully situated layout. This is Maui's highest elevated golf course at 1,100 feet, located on the lower slopes of the 10,000-foot Haleakala volcano.
A devastating fire destroyed most of the clubhouse and many golf carts in 2006. But this Maui golf course itself remains intact and is a joy for all comers. In addition to spectacular ocean views that span the West Maui mountains to the ocean, this hilly track can provide birdie rewards to golfers on their game and plenty of par opportunities for the average duffer.
One unique attraction at Pukalani is the par-3 at No. 3, which offers players the option of hitting to either one of two very different greens. One green requires a tee shot over a tree-filled gully, while the second beckons a shot over a cliff to a palm tree-lined green.
