The youngest of Wailea Resort’s three 18-hole layouts, the visually stunning Wailea Emerald has been called “eye candy” for its lush landscaping and gorgeous ocean views. Architect Robert Trent Jones II fashioned this companion to the more rugged Wailea Gold Course with a more genial touch. Its good looks aside, however, the course rewards players who excel in placing their shots well.

A signature feature of the course is a large double green shared by hole numbers 10 and 17, fronted by a 1.4 million gallon brackish water lake plus a spectacular vista of the Pacific Ocean beyond. Like the Wailea Gold, the Emerald is a pure golf experience, with views of the Pacific and four to six tee boxes on every hole, making it a suitable choice for players of all abilities.

The Wailea Emerald was named of the top new courses in the country when it first opened, and has been honored multiple times for being one of the most women-friendly in the world.
