KA MOLOKAI MAKAHIKI

Molokai prides itself on being deeply rooted in the Hawaii of the past. Catch that pride at Ka Molokai Makahiki, a traditional festival held every January. The pageantry and ceremonies are include hula, Hawaiian arts and crafts, and games.

"Makahiki" was a time after harvest when battles ceased while tributes were paid to chiefs.
