HIKING
Untouched and wild, Molokai offers hiking trails that take you back to ancient times. The Halawa Valley trail to Moolua Falls is a magnificent hike, full of lush tropical rainforests and orchards. A guide is required since this trail crosses private lands.
Or you can forgo a mule and take a strenuous hike through switchbacks and scenic cliffs to historic Kalaupapa. Note that a guided tour is required to enter the peninsula. The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii also has guided tours of Moomomi Beach and the plant and animal sanctuary, Kamakou Preserve.
