Pearl Country Club

Pearl Country Club is a long-standing gem on the Oahu golf scene. Its fine course conditions and speedy downhill putts make Pearl both a favorite of locals and a find for visitors.

Overlooking Pearl Harbor and the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, this mature layout combines a blend of scenery and engaging golf. After a downwind opening par-5, Pearl quickly shows its character. The hilly, tree-lined second hole is a demanding par-4 that calls for an exacting approach to a classically elevated green, one that plays toughest in the prevailing trade winds.

That message is delivered in spades at No. 4 where even a perfect tee shot sets up a daunting approach to a slightly elevated green guarded by a steady left-to-right crosswind. The par-5 No. 5, the first of four holes laid out in a picturesque valley, calls for another strategically placed tee shot to set up an eye-of-the-needle second.

Another challenging hole is the par-4 10th, which begins six consecutive holes that tests your ability to handle hillside golf in all its forms. The back nine is composed of short par 4s and two radically different par-3s: the 13th is slightly uphill and into the prevailing wind, while the 16th is downhill and downwind.
