Kickoff for the 2009 Sheraton Hawai‘i Bowl has been set at 3 p.m. (HST) at Aloha Stadium. The bowl game, owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television, will feature a Conference USA team against a team from the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The University of Hawai‘i Warrior football team will receive the automatic bid if it is bowl eligible. Held at the Aloha Stadium.
The Sony Open in Hawaii is a "Friends of Hawaii Charities" event, that is the first full field event of the 2010 PGA TOUR. It takes place on the island of Oahu at the Waialae Country Club. Past champions include Vijay Singh, Ernie Els and Jerry Kelly. An important golfing event in Hawaii. $15 per day advance, $20 at gate
The event raises money for local Hawaiian charities. Since 1999, over $5 million has been raised.
The 16th Annual Honolulu Festival is a three-day celebration, highlighting the people and diversity of the Pacific and Asia through an impressive showcase of the arts and culture. More than 5,000 participants and visitors from Japan and other Pacific Rim countries will come to Honolulu specifically to take part in the Festival, giving a boost to Hawaii's tourism economy.
The Festival will be open to the public on March 13 and 14 at various locations including the Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Center and Waikiki Beach Walk. It will conclude with a spectacular Grand Parade through Waikiki along Kalakaua Avenue on Sunday, March 14.
