FARMERS’ MARKET AT KAPIOLANI COMMUNITY COLLEGE, OAHU
Minutes away from both Kapahulu and Waikiki, the Saturday Farmers’ Market at Kapiolani Community College is Honolulu’s premiere farmers’ market showcasing unique products and produce made fresh in Hawaii.
Every Saturday morning from 7:30am to 11am, locals and visitors alike flock to the parking lot of KCC (Kapiolani Community College) located at the foot of Diamond Head (Leahi). Shop the open tents for locally grown produce, from Kahuku corn and Maunawili greens to Waimea strawberries and farm fresh papaya. Browse the exotic potted plants full of ornate orchids and colorful hibiscus. Whether you’re looking for organic, free-range, or hydroponic, you’ll find the healthy choice your searching for, harvested right here on the islands.
Visitors who come early should be prepared for some lines as shoppers browse for the best selection of seasonal items. Bring your own shopping bag or cooler if you plan on stocking up. There is plenty of parking, or you can take a bus ride from Waikiki. If you’re planning a hike up to Diamond Head (Leahi) be sure to stop by the Farmers’ Market for an early breakfast as well. The KCC Farmers’ Market is not only a fantastic place to shop for unique local products, but it’s also a great place to meet farmers, locals, and other visitors in a fun and lively atmosphere.
