Anna Leialoha Lindsey Perry-Fiske has been called the "First Lady of Ranching" in Hawaii and was, during her long life, a cowgirl, jockey, pau rider, licensed butcher, community leader, rancher, world traveler and humanitarian. Anna competed in horse races, branded cattle, and brought the beef to market, living the life of a rancher and paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy). Her ranch, titled Anna Ranch, is still active today and is located on the island of Hawaii, consisting of 3.48 acres at the base of the Kohala Mountains. She was a unique woman in the male dominated profession of cattle ranching. Her legacy and that of her family is being perpetuated, as set out in her trust, with the formation of the Anna Ranch Heritage Center in Waimea.

Anna Ranch was placed on the Hawaii State Register of Historic Places in 2005, and on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. Hawaii has a deep history of ranching that goes back to the day that Captain George Vancouver presented the first cattle as a gift to King Kamehameha I.

Birthdays, Family Gatherings, Corporate Retreats and Community Events are popular uses of Anna Ranch’s picturesque event facility. It is a noted location for weddings and receptions. Complete with kitchen and wireless internet (Wi-Fi) throughout.

Our Gift Shop features unique items by local craftsmen and artisans such as hand-carved wooden saddle ornaments by Stanley Valoroso, handmade items by our local Waimea quilters, and handcrafted wrought iron work by our Ranch Blacksmith Ethan Froney.
