Guided by original course designer Jack Nicklaus, the Kiele Moana (Ocean) Nine reopened to play on May 23, 2011, following an extensive renovation including new putting surfaces and bunkers and three new holes. One new hole is a dramatic ocean hole, now the centerpiece of the longest stretch of continuous ocean holes in Hawaii providing an unprecedented 1/2 mile of stunning oceanfront golf. The Kiele Mauka (original Kiele front 9) Nine will pair with the Kiele Moana Nine to create a fabulous 18-holes of Jack Nicklaus inspired Kiele golf at Kauai Lagoons.
The Kiele Waikahe Nine (former Mokihana holes) is also available for play and is well suited to those desiring a 9-hole round, beginners, juniors and walkers.
