Honolulu International Airport

Double Lines

Hawaii is accessible from destinations around the globe with hundreds of international flights every week. Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu is Hawaii's major airport, serving as the entry point for most of Hawaii's visitors. Many international carriers and all major American domestic carriers serve Oahu, so you can get here from just about anywhere. It is about a 20-30 minute ride from HNL to Waikiki.

There are also direct flights from the US mainland to Maui, Kauai and Hawaii's Big Island, but for the most part, you may need to connect through Oahu to get to the neighbouring islands including Lanai and Molokai. There are daily ferry services from Lahaina Harbor in Maui to both Manele Bay in Lanai and Kaunakakai Harbor in Molokai.

Connections to neighbouring islands are plentiful, however, and the flight times between islands are as short as 20 minutes and no longer than 40 minutes. Airlines flying between Oahu and Hawaii’s five other major islands include Hawaiian Air, Island Air, go!, or Pacific Wings.
