Description

Alika will discuss the importance of perpetuating the Hawaiian language, and will give an overview of Papa Olelo Hawaii, a series of beginning Hawaiian language classes slated for July at Volcano Art Center. This informative, engaging presentation offers a unique opportunity for the community to learn more about the rich Hawaiian language, and to ask any questions about the upcoming Hawaiian language class series. This evening is part of a once-a-month Thursday night series at the Volcano Art Center, focusing on art, Hawaiian culture and our environment. The series is intended to inspire, enhance your appreciation of art and life experience, while fostering community connections. The Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus is located at 19-4074 Old Volcano Road in Volcano Village. This presentation is free, however donations are always welcome!
