Description

Welcome to the 43rd Annial Honolulu Intertribal Powwow! The first ever Honolulu Intertribal Powwow began in October 1974 with a small group of interested Native American individuals living in Honolulu who longed for a place to celebrate their culture through music, drumming, dance, food and native arts and crafts. Today the powwow has grown with amazing growth in Honolulu. Join us for this free family friendly event of Native American drumming, dancing and singing. Enjoy the taste of Native American frybread and tacos, come and see our handmade local and visiting Native American vendors arts & crafts. Grand entry at 10 a.m. with our Head Man Dancer, Tony Nelson of the Kumeyaay Nation and Head Lady Dancer Virginia Timentwa-Ah Kui of the Colville Confederated Tribes and enjoy the sounds throughout the day of our local drums - 808NDNZ and visiting drums groups!
