Hawaii Forest Institute (HFI) and the Honolulu Zoo Children's Discovery Forest are happy to announce a work day for those interested in helping to malama (care for) this exceptional forest project on Saturday, April 29 from 9 am to 11 am. Volunteers are needed to pull weeds and plant seedlings while enjoying this special place. Volunteers and interested community members should plan to meet at the Honolulu Zoo’s Gate #6, located off Monsarrat Avenue across from the Waikiki Shell parking lot at 8:30 am.
