Hawaii's Woodshow, Na Laau o Hawaii is the Hawaii Forest Industry Association's annual juried woodworking exhibition. The 30th Anniversary Woodshow will be held at the Hawaii Opera Plaza in Honolulu, October 16 - 30.  The Hawaii Forest Institute received a $3,000 HTA-CEP grant for the 2022 Woodshow.

Attendees will be treated to extraordinary heirloom-quality works made from beautiful Hawaii-grown woods. The event encourages an appreciation for the participating artists and the materials they use and promotes the positive role forests play in our economy and ecology.

Judging is based on Inspiration of Design and Excellence of Implementation. Awards categories include: Best of Show; Masters Awards, First Place awards in various categories, Honorable Mentions, Spirit of the Show Award, Ron & Myra Kent Fund Awards, Puuhonua Society Ano of Excellence Award, Artist's Choice Award and People's Choice Award.

An exciting component of Hawaii's Woodshow is the Innovation + Imagination (I+I) Student Challenge, initiated in 2017 by Steven Hill, IDSA, 3DLab Director at UH-Manoa School of Architecture. The I+I Student Challenge introduces students to the diverse world of Hawai'i woods. Students are challenged to construct artwork using a mix of donated Hawai'i-grown woods and other materials of their choice. Schools that have participated in the student challenge include UH-Manoa School of Architecture, Brigham Young University–Hawaii, Maui High School, Mid-Pacific Owl Robotics and Punahou School.
