Hula Arts At Kilauea: Aloha Friday Program
Hula is Hawaii's most sacred and ancient cultural practice. Originally developed by Polynesians, the Hula portrays the words of the oli (chant) and mele (song/chant/poetry) in a visual dance form. Hula helps pass down the tradition of the Hawaiian culture and keeps the spirit of Hawaii alive. Come join Kumu Hula Moses Kahookele Crabbe of Halau Ke Ola o Ka Lani at the Volcano Art Center Gallery. Kumu Hula Crabbe will share and teach his extensive knowledge of the basics of Hula, language and chant. This event will be held on the third Friday of every month inside Volcanoes National Park. This is a free event; park entrance fees apply.
