Kauai's Local Favorites Cooking Experience

Join us at the Monkeypod Jam, Provisions Cottage for this hands-on cooking class. Our 1/3 acre homestead is located on Kauai's sunny South Shore, just a few minutes from Koloa and Poipu. The property is surrounded by a pineapple patch, lychee, avocado, orange, lemon, and banana trees. Upon entering our homey, yet modern guest cottage kitchen, guests will be served Hurricane Popcorn as a welcome pupu. All the needed ingredients, recipes and tools will be prepared so we may dive in for a few hours of culinary joy, learning, and tasting. At the end of class, guests will enjoy a truly Kauai meal made by their own hands and with new friends. In true local style, no one will leave hungry! This class focuses on the historical and cultural significance of 4 much loved dishes found at our local, corner stores. - Kauai Style Musubi (Vegetarian Option) - Somen Salad (Pescatarian/Vegetarian) - Ahi Poke Bowls (Pescatarian) - Mochi (Vegetarian) The desire is that our guests depart with new friends, a further understanding of Hawaii's cultures and the confidence to make the same dishes at their homes.
