Mokuula By Moonlight In Lahaina - Summer

As the full moon rises over Mauna Kahalawai in West Maui, the Mokuula/Mokuhinia restoration site in Lahaina is in the spotlight, featuring a free cultural and educational program that’s open to the public. It runs from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the beachfront Hale Halawai in Kamehameha Iki Park, 525 Front Street, Lahaina.
Hawaiian music and storytelling mix when popular musicians share the stage with local elders who tell their stories about Lahaina. Entertainers include Ukulele and Slack Key musicians and recording artists in a kanikapila style jam. Special guest speakers talk about current Native Hawaiian issues.
The nonprofit Friends of Mokuula and Maui Nei offer logo hats, tote bags and pareos for sale. Limited seating is provided; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome.
