Ohe Kapala (bamboo Stamping)
Ohe Kapala (bamboo stamps) is the decoration on a finished piece of Kapa (Hawiian paper mulberry). This workshop will teach the process of ohe kapala printing (bamboo stamps), showcasing different native Hawaiian designs and their meanings. Participants will use traditional techniques and methods on modern materials. Today, we use a variety of fabrics to print on with the use of modern paints.
