Hawaii Craftsmen's Raku Hoolaulea, founded in 1977, is an annual outdoor community ceramics festival that promotes and teaches Raku pottery traditions that date back to 16th century Japan. The Plein Air Painters of Oahu is a casual group of painters who meet regularly to paint "in the open air" at various sites around the island - including at past Raku Hoolaulea festivals - to share inspiration, friendship and Aloha.

WORKSHOPS AND DEMONSTRATIONS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! An outdoor community kiln event will be held on Saturday, July 17 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at The Arts at Marks Garage, where children and adults can glaze raku tea bowls and have them fired by volunteer potters Painting/ceramics workshops and demos will be held in the gallery throughout the exhibition.
