Cudra Clover: Hysteria In Gallery: March 9 - April 13 Open Daily from 9am - 4pm with Free Admission Opening Reception: March 9 / 6 - 8pm The Hui's Solo Artist Exhibition is one of the only exhibitions in the state of Hawai'i that provides the unique opportunity for artists to be personally involved in all facets of exhibition planning and installation. It challenges artists to envision and produce an innovative and cohesive body of work to be shown in a professional gallery setting. In 2018, Hui No'eau presents solo artist Cudra Clover and her installation titled Hysteria. Hysteria explores the subject of over stimulation through textiles and multimedia. Along with a selection of her biomorphic silk paintings, Cudra will be presenting elements of these works to create an interactive multimedia experience. Cudra Clover is a Maui-based painter and multimedia artist. She has shown her work in Hawaii, Chicago, Denver, Japan, and China. Cudra won the Burningman Award of Excellence with her tech team, for the ARC installation, which was also displayed at TEDx and The Maker's Faire NYC. She is one of the founders of artCORE, a Maui group dedicated to engaging the community in interactive art and has co-produced some of the MACC'S art-MIXXs. Her artwork is in public spaces, hotels and in the permanent collection of The Hawaii State Museum of Art and Culture. This exhibition is presented with support from the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
