Ukulele Ohana Molokai
Spend five intimate days on the Spirit Isle experiencing the roots that have inspired generations of Hawaiian music. Your Ohana Ukulele embrace will teach you Old Style Hawaiian music and lifestyle. The people and culture of Molokai will empower you to become personally involved with your ukulele music as you learn to play and compose traditional and contemporary Hawaiian folk music, dance hula, talk story about the inspiration behind the music, experience the landscape and swim the waters of Halawa Valley, embrace the language and culture, eat delicious gourmet traditional foods harvested by the local community.
Renowned Ukulele artists Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel will join Molokai beloved folk musician Lono again this year. They will be welcome the Ohana into an immersion of Ukulele techniques, enhanced by the Old Style folk music of Molokai and the Hawaiian Islands, plus creating their original compositions.
Ukulele Ohana Molokai will be hosted at Puu O Hoku Ranch (Hill of Stars) a historical and organic working ranch on the east end of Molokai. There you will relax and move at a slower pace as you fall in love with your ukulele and the music you make together.
