Aloha Festivals is a statewide non-profit, multi-cultural festival formed in 1946 and held each September. It features over 100 events: parades, street parties, cultural displays and more. Most events free with discounts offered to ribbon wearers.
The GAR, an 8.15-mile foot race, begins at Aloha Tower and finishes in the Aloha Stadium. There are divisions for elites, age groups, wheelchair and hand-cycle competitors, Sounds of Freedom (military running in formation) and those who just want to walk the course and socialize along the way.
This celebration of epicurean excellence will convene the finest in food and wine and embrace all things Hawaiian – notably – the fabulous culinary bounty on Maui and here at the world-renowned Kapalua Resort.
"Sharing Uchinanchu Aloha!" Attracting more than 50,000 visitors annually, the Okinawan Festival has become the premiere annual event of the Hawaii United Okinawa Association. Proceeds from the Festival support the HUOA's mission of preserving, promoting and perpetuating the Okinawan culture.
The iconic IRONMAN series of events is the largest participation sports platform in the world. World-class athletes prove ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE as they try to complete a 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2 run. Competitors have 17 hours to finish the race.
