Located in a lava rock structure in Līhuʻe, the Kauaʻi Museum features amazing collections from the artisans of Kauaʻi and Niʻihau (a small eastern island part of Kauaʻi county). Visitors can learn about the geological formation of the Hawaiian Islands, early Native Hawaiian life, Captain Cook’s arrival on Kauaʻi’s shores in Waimea and the Hawaiian Monarchy. Plus, visitors can view galleries showcasing the work of multi-cultural artists, sculptors and craftsmen. Guided tours are available (upon request).
