Oahu Accommodations

Double Lines

Finding accommodations is easy on Oahu. You’ll find a whole spectrum of choices ranging from luxury Oahu resorts, budget hotels, condo rentals, boutiques, campsites, hostels and rentals.

You'll find the majority of Oahu's hotels and resorts in Waikiki. This vibrant gathering place also offers visitors the most choices, from budget hotels, Waikiki condos and Waikiki vacation rentals to Waikiki hotels and resorts with deluxe ocean view suites. Beyond Waikiki, you can find one luxury resort in east Honolulu (The Kahala Hotel & Resort), one on the North Shore (Turtle Bay Resort) and two on the Leeward Coast in the Ko Olina Resort area (J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa). Kailua vacation rentals and Kailua condos are a great way to visit Kailua's gorgeous beaches on the windward side, while North Shore vacation rentals and North Shore condos let you get away from it all. If you're on a budget and like making friends, start with the Waikiki hostels then take TheBus to North Shore hostels and explore Oahu's countryside.

Camping is also an option at specified locations five days a week, from 8 a.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Some campsites are only open during weekends, and other sites are only open or closed during summer months. There is no camping on Wednesdays and Thursdays when the campsites are closed for maintenance. Permits for City and County campsites are available at Satellite City Halls on Oahu. For more information, call the Parks Permit Section at (808) 523-4525 or visit the Department of Parks and Recreation website here.

For Oahu State campsites, please call the Oahu District office at (808) 587-0300 or visit the Hawaii State Parks website here.
