You'll find the majority of Oahu's hotels and resorts in Waikiki. This vibrant gathering place also offers visitors the most choices, from budget hotels, Waikiki condos and Waikiki vacation rentals to Waikiki hotels and resorts with deluxe ocean view suites. Beyond Waikiki, you can find one luxury resort in east Honolulu (The Kahala Hotel & Resort), one on the North Shore (Turtle Bay Resort) and two on the Leeward Coast in the Ko Olina Resort area (J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa). Kailua vacation rentals and Kailua condos are a great way to visit Kailua's gorgeous beaches on the windward side, while North Shore vacation rentals and North Shore condos let you get away from it all. If you're on a budget and like making friends, start with the Waikiki hostels then take TheBus to North Shore hostels and explore Oahu's countryside.
