Kauai Flooding Closure

One lane of Kuhio Highway between Waikoko and Haena will be open for vehicle access to local area residents only from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily; visitors will not have access. Hanalei Beach Park around Black Pot Beach is currently closed due to safety concerns. Haena State Park, including the Kalalau Trail remain closed. Visitors are encouraged to experience the north shore communities of Princeville and Hanalei (town), and other areas of the Garden Island. USS Arizona Memorial Closure

The USS Arizona Memorial is closed for structural repairs. Despite the restriction of visitor access to the Memorial, USS Arizona Memorial programs will continue as scheduled and TICKETS ARE STILL REQUIRED. Instead of taking a boat to the memorial and disembarking there, visitors will be taken on a 15-minute narrated harbor tour of Battleship Row and the area around the USS Arizona Memorial. In addition, the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, museums, and bookstore are open as usual from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week. The Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, and the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor – are also open as usual.

Shangri La (at Honolulu Museum of Art)

The museum is OPEN, but major areas of Shangri La at the museum are currently under renovation. Views of the property will be obstructed by construction and visitors will notice heavy machinery and noise.
