Hawaiʻi Kuauli Pacific & Asia Cultural Festival
Join us for a celebration of Hawaiʻi Island and its beauty as a cultural melting pot. This 3 day event will be packed with food, fashion, cultural expressions, a hula hōʻike, a fireknife competition, a culinary event and so much more!
Friday evening is the Opening Celebration with opening protocol by our Hawaiian delegation and a hula hō'ike with hula hālau sharing stories of the Kamehameha legacy. The evening includes a very special welcome to our visiting cultural groups from New Zealand, Samoa, Tahiti and China.

- Saturday after the Kamehameha Day parade and events at Huliheʻe Palace, head over to the resortʻs ballroom for the Wearable Arts Fashion Show with designers from all over Hawai'i. International designers joining us including Fijiʻs Temesia Inc. who is just back from New York Fashion Week.
- Saturday evening is the Le Kaua Ailau Fireknife Competition - one of 3 international competitions that qualify winners for the World Fireknife Competition. Competitors will include both junior and senior divisions.
- Sunday is the Taste of Pacific & Asia Culinary Event, including live cooking and mixology competitions between top Hawaiʻi Island chefs and mixologists. Last yearʻs winner - Rhoda Magbitang, Executive Chef at the Canoe House is currently competing in Season 23 of Top Chef!
- Throughout the weekend enjoy the Festival Marketplace with crafters and artisans from throughout the Pacific and Asia. On Saturday the marketplace in collaboration with Kanaeokana, will host 'Ōlelo Kāmau - an interactive display of hands-on cultural experiences, story telling and connection; all in celebration of 'ōlelo Hawai'i.
