Fall In Love with Hawaiʻi

With our balmy climate, enchanting scenery and lingering scent of tropical lei, romance is always in the air in Hawaiʻi. Picture yourself renewing your vows overlooking Waikīkī Beach, as surfers ride the waves in the distance. Or let the rugged beauty of Molokaʻi carry you and your beloved away to a simpler time. On the sunny coast of Wailea on Maui, oceanfront receptions sparkle in the evening light. Whatever you envision for your perfect day, be sure to seal your love by saying "I love you" the Hawaiian way: aloha au iʻa ʻoe.

Marriage Licenses
There are no state residence or U.S. citizenship requirements to marry in Hawaiʻi. Before you can marry, an agent for the state must issue your marriage license. The couple must be present when the license is issued and both must be at least 18 years old. There is no waiting period, and no blood tests or shots are required. The license is good for 30 days and the fee is $65. The birthplace, names of parents and final divorce decree information (if applicable) will be required on the license application.

Please check in with the appropriate authorities in your county of residence and/or citizenship regarding the validity of your marriage in Hawaiʻi (the United States). Additional steps may be required for your marriage to be recognized at home.

Find Your Perfect Island

Diamond (Diamond Head) in the background, Waikīkī Beach glittering as the sun sets: a Hawaiʻi wedding doesn't get much more iconic, or romantic, than Oʻahu.

Take a private helicopter tour of the Nāpali Coast, or cruise down the Wailua River to tie the knot in a dreamy fern grotto. The lush Garden Isle is like one big wedding bouquet.

If you're looking for seclusion, make Lānaʻi your venue. Hawaiʻi's smallest inhabited island has just two resorts—and all the privacy you're dreaming of.

The Magic Isle has been a top wedding and honeymoon destination for decades, thanks to its world-class resorts, romantic beach sunsets and incredible landscapes.

Island of Hawaiʻi

The venue choices here are endless, from a sunset beach ceremony on the Kona Coast to the serene pagodas of Liliʻuokalani Gardens with Maunakea towering in the background.

On Molokaʻi you’ll find unique, stress-free alternatives to a larger wedding that can take away from your special day. If low-key is your style, Molokaʻi just might be paradise.
