41st Annual Kaua'i Matsuri

We open our 41st Kaua'i Matsuri with a Welcome Reception & Dinner on Friday, Oct 9th at the Convention Hall. Tickets for this event is $75 per person. Come and meet our Japan dignitaries and enjoy a buffet dinner showcasing Japanese & Hawaiian foods and a Dessert Bar. This event is from 5:00pm to 8:30pm where we will be honoring Sue Kanoho as our Kansha (Gratitude) awardee for her years of supporting our Kaua'i Matsuri. Sponsorship packages are available as well.

The next day, we will celebrate our annual Kaua'i Matsuri which is free and open to the public at the same location from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Come and learn the art of Bonsai and Tea Ceremony. You can also learn about Ikebana flower arranging. Additional cultural activities are expected to include mochi pounding and making, Taiko drumming and Judo demonstrations and many more.

This year's featured guests are the Iwate Morioka Minyo Group from Japan. They will present traditional folk songs, dances and kimono dressing demonstrations. Hikariyama Torao will be back to entertain all with his popular Enka songs.
There will be crafters and Japanese food vendors.

Lots of free parking available.
