Garden Tours

Limahuli Garden & Preserve is a puʻuhonua, a place of refuge, where Indigenous traditions and flourishing relationships continue today. When you visit our garden on the north shore of Kauaʻi, you step into our story of stewardship. Experience Hawaiian food systems—some over 1,000 years old—that feed us today. Walk through precious Hawaiian forests where native plants find sanctuary. Witness the deep bonds that hold this ahupuaʻa together, from ridge to reef, and nurture your own relationship with ʻāina.

Self-guided tours are available Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 am - 3 pm. Our loop trail is approximately 3/4 miles (1.2 km) long and goes up 200 ft (60 m) in elevation with many steps. Online reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure parking (if you are driving). Guided tours require advanced reservations. Visitors are encouraged to use North Shore Shuttle service.
