This classic Kapalua beach is the most popular bodysurfing and bodyboarding site on West Maui. Its long, sandy beach is perfect for a relaxing beach day and offers ample shade thanks to the large ironwood trees that line the sand. Named for the man who introduced pineapple to West Maui, D.T. Fleming Beach also features plenty of amenities, including picnic tables and grills. Occasionally, the water can become dangerous during high surf with strong rip currents and powerful waves, so be mindful of the latest conditions.
