Hawaiian Airlines May Day 2026

Since 1927, May Day has been a beloved annual celebration in Hawaiʻi, honoring the flower lei and Hawaiian culture through music, hula, and crafts. This tradition was further cemented in 1977 by the iconic annual concert at the Waikīkī Shell, initially by the Brothers Cazimero, and continued since 2020 by Kahuli Leo Leʻa (KLL) and partners Robert Cazimero and Keauhou for global audiences. The proposed project directly aligns with the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority's (HTA) strategic plan by developing new cultural tourism products, supporting community-based initiatives, and providing economic benefits, particularly for cultural practitioners of mele and hula, all while promoting and perpetuating Hawaiian culture.
