Set sail from Keauhou Bay aboard our spacious 45 ft yacht "Hoku Nui". Keep a watchful eye out for Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, Hawaiian Humpback Whales (seasonal Dec-April), and other marine life while you sail down the beautiful Kona Coast. As you enjoy your tropical style breakfast, entering Historic Kealakekua Bay, you will observe the World Famous Captain Cook Monument (sail time approx. 45 min.) Your snorkeling will begin in the pristine waters and the vibrant reef of the Marine Sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay. "Hawaii the Big Island Revealed" guide book says, "snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay near the monument is perhaps the best you will find anywhere in the state." Make sure to bring an underwater camera to capture the colorful schools of fish, pods of spinner dolphins that are also commonly spotted in the bay, and the landscaped ledges of ancient lava flows. You will then have a moment for another breath taking view of the bay while you enjoy a sumptuous lunch with beverages. Exiting the bay, we set sail for "Red Hill" (weather permitting). The Red Hill area is home to unique underwater lava formations such as archways and lava tubes, and more snorkeling with schools of vibrant sea life. As your snorkel adventure comes to an end, we will set sail back to Keauhou Bay with majestic memories of your Sea Paradise trip that will last a lifetime. Our vessel Hoku Nui’s spacious design allows guests a 360 degree view of the stunning Kona coastline. Shade is provided by the bimini top over the main cabin. A wide, sturdy ladder off the starboard side of the vessel allows for easy water entry and exit. The deck provides ample seating, two marine toilets, and a fresh water hose to rinse off after your snorkeling adventure. Our friendly professional crew members will provide snorkel tips and basic instructions to guests of all ages and experience levels. Life jackets, floatation noodles, and viewfinder boards as well as masks, fins, and snorkels are provided aboard Hokulani. Join us for our nightly Manta Ray Snorkel Tour. Enjoy a beautiful Hawaiian sunset aboard the Hoku Nui. Be sure to have your camera ready to catch a glimpse of the elusive green flash. As the sun sets we coast to the World Famous Manta Ray Village. The Travel Channel says snorkeling with these Manta Rays,"It's one of the top ten things to do in your lifetime." For our snorkeling guests, our staff will prepare and guide you onto our state of the art "manta floatation device". Here guests can hold onto our float that rests above the majestic manta rays as they feed on the microscopic plankton that rises from the bottom of the ocean at night and is attracted to the light source attached to our float. As your incredible snorkel experience comes to an end, our staff will guide you back onboard for some light snacks or a warm cup of hot cocoa. Snorkel time is approximately 45 minutes. For our ride along guests, you will watch the majestic manta rays as they feed on the microscopic plankton, from the comfort of our 45-foot vessel Hoku Nui. Sea Paradise has been offering their guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with these majestic manta rays since 1985, making Sea Paradise an original tour expert in Hawaii.
