Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Luau

The background sound of the ocean surf against a soulful steel guitar. A welcome lei and Mai Tai. Tables laden with traditional foods of the islands; imu-roasted kalua pig, island fish, laulau, lomi salmon, sashimi, piles of pineapple and papaya plus salads, teriyaki steaks, desserts and so much more. Everyone gets their first taste of delicious finger-licking poi while children take to the stage to learn to hula to the "Hukilau." Then the show begins with mesmerizing dance and chants for which Hawaii is known as the evening crescendos to the thrilling fire knife dance.
