Here, you can catch everything from mahimahi to wahoo to skipjack and yellowfin tuna. But these majestic depths are also home to a variety of billfish, including striped marlin, spearfish and the most sought-after trophy of all, blue marlin. In fact, Kona is the home of the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament, and holds several world records for blue marlin – some weighing more than 1,000 pounds.
