Raising Cane’s Celebrates Summer Reading with Read To Me International

Free Reading and Learning Activities for Keiki & Parents

HONOLULU – Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is excited to continue its partnership with Read To Me International with a Summer Reading Program, providing a space for parents and keiki to gather and connect over the joy of reading aloud. Every Saturday in June & July, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. parents and keiki can join Read To Me International for a free, engaging read aloud at select Hawaii Raising Cane’s locations. Keiki will be treated to 3-4 book readings, bookmark making, singing and learning activities provided by Read To Me International, a local non-profit organization that provides parents with the skills and techniques to engage their keiki in reading.

“Cane’s partnership with Read To Me International is in its fourth year and last year we expanded it with a successful Summer reading series,” says Raising Cane’s Marketing Leader Ali Urbick. “Supporting education is one of Raising Cane’s six areas of community focus and our reading programs will help keiki achieve their full potential.”

As part of this Raising Cane’s + Read to Me Program, Raising Cane’s is giving reading incentive bookmarks to each parent to challenge their child to read 7 books or more in June. Each bookmark has a paw print to be checked for each book read. The paw prints belong to the restaurant’s mascot and namesake, a yellow Labrador Retriever named Raising Cane.

After reading 7 books, keiki can turn in their completed bookmark to their local Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant to get a FREE KIDS COMBO.

All events are free and open to the public, but seating is limited.

15% of food sales from each event will be donated to Read To Me International.
